About Us

Home Imagined is a Central Florida, family owned business that began in 2008. We’ve helped numerous people in Florida to sell their problem houses and vacant lots in a stress free, hassle free manner. We do all the heavy lifting starting with explaining the process, the paperwork, repairs, cleaning, hoarder situations, relief from foreclosure and more. Whatever our sellers need in their unique situations- we are ready and willing to step in.

It all began in the early 2000s with husband and wife team; Leo and Rikki. The plan was to build a small rental portfolio for retirement. From there, a love for real estate and the need to expand the team was born. Rikki’s father, Karl was incorporated in the team. The three went head first into real estate and the year was 2008. Talk about a challenging time to be investing in real estate! While most people were running out of the business, we ran in.

Fast forward to today and we are still running in. With hundreds of projects behind us, this team has lived through a massive real estate crash; persevered through a market where finding your next buyer might mean you have to wear a sandwich sign on the side of the road just help lure potential buyers to the open house; to a market where finding the next home purchase means taking on houses that are extremely damaged and require someone with construction knowledge. What does all that experience mean to you? It means that you, the seller who has a problem house and needs a fast & fair cash sale can rest assured we know how to help. It means, you, the house owner who wants the highest retail offer can achieve it. Utilizing our expertise in strategic improvements, our team has understands what it takes to attain a quick and attractive sale on the open real estate market. Our real estate brokerage and contraction companies can be brought in to fulfill any real estate need. It also means that our customers that buy or rent one of our houses is getting a product that was taken care of renovated with quality, style and is move in ready.

Trust and The Golden Rule

Home Imagined believes in relationships with our sellers and clients. This business requires a level of trust between all parties. We are great communicators who believe in transparency, honesty and success for all parties involved in each transaction. The highest compliment given to us was from a recent seller who told us “we’re like family”. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more satisfying than knowing that not only did we help a seller with a problem property, but that we earned her trust. In the case where we helped a couple who was struggling to move out of state to be with family; we were able to help them unstrap themselves from the burdens of their mortgage, bankruptcy issues and house repairs. By stepping in, Home Imagined was able to make an impact where the family was able to restore their credit, leave the stresses of costly repairs behind and get back to their family. What an honor it is when we can help someone achieve their goals and help generate circumstances that allow our sellers to focus on what is most important.

Meet the owners

Leo Perrero moved from Miami to Central Florida in 2002. He was an IT Engineer turned Coldwell Banker realtor serving the Coral Gables area in south Florida. Upon his transition to Orlando, his IT skills provided a bedrock to stand on while the ventures of buying residential rental properties began. Once our real estate market began to tank in 2008, the market changed drastically. If you did not alter the way you approached real estate, it could be very damaging. With a persistent personality, Leo and the family worked towards buying the abandoned houses that were bringing neighborhoods down. This created a better way of doing business. Purchase, redevelop and put new families on has continued ever since. Leo also expanded his levels of expertise in real estate by obtaining his Broker’s license and a General Contractor license.

Rikki Koberg-Perrero grew up in Central Florida. As a UCF grad, she worked for an Orlando television news station. Her broadcast journalism career then led her to the classroom where she ran the television programs for an Orlando High School. When Rikki wasn’t working at school, she was building up her real estate business, getting educated in running a business in the ever-changing environment of real estate and developing a strong passion for helping others with problem homes. Rikki’s creative side has taken off in the design side of renovating. She has taken on houses that were falling apart, riddled with choppy floor plans and unloved for decades. These ugly ducklings were transformed with dedication to today’s style and function. Rikki knows how to add in just the right amount of pizzazz and while maintaining function and the budget. Rikki is also deeply involved with selling real estate and leading her clients successfully to the closing table as a realtor and coach through the sales process.

Karl is a modern day MacGyver! These talents have been put to use over the past two decades with repairing properties. Whether he’s working hand in hand to help our sellers or leading crews on a renovation site, Karl is always the go-to person for renovating the right way.
